to think people having bonfires on warm sunny days deserve to be shot

This is a light hearted thread. I don't genuinely think they should be shot but would be happy with them and their bonfires being sprayed with water (if we didn't have a hose pipe ban).

I am fed up that having all my washing out drying I can now smell a bonfire that is so acrid it is making my eyes smart. Every sodding time we get a bit of sun this happens.

We have BBQs about 50 times a year.

This winds me up. Especially when my washing is out. I hate it, we get it every day at different times.

I think this is one of those cases that different councils have different rules (and different ways of dealing with those rules). We have lived in places where you were only allowed to light a bonfire in the evening. I must admit it drives me mad when, on the first fine day for ages and you've loads of washing to do, somebody lights a fire - and why is it some people are serial offenders in this respect?
