Just that really.

I lurk more than I post, and am well aware of the cycle of a couple of odd days, followed by a day or two of "MN isn't what it used to be..." but, there seems to have been more consistent nastiness over the last two or three weeks.

Is it coincidence that many of my favourite posters, the ones who make me smile, (SarahStratton, SuePurblyBilt, Pagwatch, BoF, to name a few) have either stopped posting or reduced their input considerably?

There was a thread from November last year that was resurrected yesterday. Hardly any deletions on it (apart from the OP ), but I am sure that if it was done now many of the other posts would have been deleted. Maybe it is the amount of deletions that is putting people off posting?

My opinion is that if you go looking for trouble on Mn, you find it. This happens a couple of times a year.

I went onto the Education thread once not looking for trouble, and came back all burnt and crispy.

Obviously the answer is to start adding positive stuff, instead of posting a sniping message... The internet is whatever we make of it. :)

I really try Ciske, sometimes I just hide the thread.
