to tell a father who only commits to 52 days a year to fuck off?

52 days.

26 weekends.

Thats all he sees them. And yet I am being unreasonable because I wont change weekends at a couple of days notice. I am a bitch and doing it to deliberately get at him. Not because I hate seeing my children upset and crying because Daddy isnt fetching them this weekend despite promising he would.

He doesnt do it that often, but I NEVER do it! Why? Because he knows he has the power. He can refuse to fetch them, be out if I took them over and I can do nothing about it.

WIBU to tell him no, when he is trying to ditch the kids again because his married GF has managed to get a weekend away?

PS, I dont care that she is married apart from the fact that it means that everything is last minute and he thinks nothing of dumping the kids to get his dick dipped :(

looks he doesnt need this weekend, he wants it, there is a difference. If he had been called to work or was ill or his dad was ill then that would be totally different, and I would be able to explain that the kids and they would understand. Why should the children be upset, and why should I have to change my (work) plans because his GF has managed to lie to her husband again so they can have a shag?!

I am not kicking up a stink for no reason! My children will be gutted and that is a good enough reason for me, work notwithstanding.

I wonder if you are his GF!

He sorts the childcare or he takes them with him & GF - thems his choices Wink Let him know this calmly and step back - it's no longer your problem, it's all on him. Make yourself a cuppa.

He needs to understand you aren't his mother, you are his ex and organising his personal life is no longer your problem.

Not your job to accomodate his sex life. Let him fork out for a weekend nanny if you need to be at work. (just this once ensure your 15 year old isn't available).

Can't you tell him you have immovable plans ?

My DD gets 26 days a year (every other Sunday). Whereas his new DD gets to go on exotic holidays, swims with dolphins, rides her pony ....

Some men are just complete and utter useless dickhead wankers.

depending on the age of the children if he does this I would tell them their father wants to speak to them about the weekend and get them to ring him, let him explain himself.

I have the same with my ex he has cancelled and tried to cancel for a variety of reasons including picking up a new car, lunch invitations and god knows what else and been totally dishonest with his reasons even claiming his grandmother was seriously ill. I dont care what he does but our dd do!!!
