it was advertised as a size 12. Muggins here bought it and it's fecking enormous, at least a size 14/16.

I messaged her my concerns and she just said H&M sizes are large and although the label states 38, it is in fact an H&M 12

She's being obstructive and I think she should have mentioned this in her listing. I have no idea about H&M clothing.

TheUnMember I know exactly what you mean, except in reverse! I'm Dutch but living in the UK. On average Dutch women are even taller than Swedish women, but still quite curvy. I'm 6ft and I end up stocking up on clothes when I visit my family - everything's too short here! Trousers all look cropped and tops always end an inch or two higher than they ought to.

And don't even get me started on the hanging height of mirrors in pub toilets, restaurant bathrooms, etc. So many times has someone walked into the bathroom to find me crouching awkwardly in front of the mirror trying to see if my hair's doing anything weird....
