I feel bad but I am soooo over arranging kids parties. Chalking up party no 34.

I know it will be fun on the day. But another bloody pass the parcel......

Someone give me a kick up the backside.

To be honest the way I feel at the moment I can't wait for them all to bugger off!

I have just clocked up my 17th, plus 8 Halloween parties (I prefer Halloween to birthdays!)but not so much as a veteran as you. I quite enjoy all the planning, it is the actual day I find quite stressful. I do agree with Flick though, once they get too old and don't want parties any more I will probably be stalking them round the house insisting they blow out the candles and wear a silly hat. So try to enjoy them while you can- with all your experience they should be a doddle to organise!!

Yes you are right. Just needed a kick. Think it's because, as usual, it's always left to me to do everything.

I am doing a high tea with proper china and cake stands! Should be sweet. My dd loves scones with jam and cream.

Now the sun is shining I feel a whole lot better.

Ooh, that sounds lovely, do you have bunting? :o

I agree that the day is always stressful despite the best planning. I am already planning DD's 5th birthday party (november) as I would like to do a big party for her first one at school. I could have gone down the softplay route but at between £8 and £12 a head there is no way she is having a class party! That means a church hall, possibly a bouncy castle and lots of games for a third of the cost.

I don't do parties, you don't have to . My two (11 and 9) have each had one hire-a-hall party. Apart from that, one footie in the park, and one bowling 9not each).

I'd rather spend the money on a family treat
