So sick of itv portraying inane, frumpy dumpy lorraine Kelly as the woman to get the nation out of bed. The woman has not one political opinion, not one iota of topical conversation, flat dowdy hair and an annoying dispensation for fawning over every guest and saying "brilliant" and "fantastic" ten times a minute.

Also the features in her show are so demeaning to women. Lorraines frigging cake club. The Idiot unshaven gay fashion editor trotting out "flattering" wide leg trousers and stupid platform shoes week after week. Give me kirsty young or nadia whatshername any day.

Yes, I know more about Denise than I know about some of my friends. That can't be right

GoingToThePark · 21/05/2012 10:08

And sherree Hewsons divorce continues to dominate the convo....

YANBU.

Hate how she always refers to her 'boobies'.

Ugh.

So given that the majority opinion is, quite rightly, that almost everything about ITV and it's programmes and lady presenters is set at the lowest possible common denominator what I'd like to know is this - Who exactly is watching and liking this shit? Who are these people? Would one be able to recognise them if one passed them in the street?

GoingToThePark · 21/05/2012 10:54

They aren't out on the street. They are sitting in front of Lorraine lusting after her nude heels and bland shades of lipgloss.

May I suggest switching off the tv and turning on the radio instead? LOADS of top women there.

Bue · 21/05/2012 12:33

You could be listening to Woman's Hour at that time of the morning. Turn off that telly and turn on the radio!

MarysBeard · 21/05/2012 12:35

Yeah, Woman's Hour is great. (((Jenni Murray)))

Lorraine Kelly just prattles and talks over guests.

I dont get why so people are so het up by this at all - and I really dont understand why some poeple find it so difficult to understand why people would watch, in this case its Lorraine, but generally anything "lightweight""light entertaintment" etc etc just because they dont like it. Arent people allowed to enjoy different things then?

I like Daybreak on in the background when Im getting ready for work and if Im off I like Lorraines programme to, nothing wrong with interviews with celebs and cake recipes.
