ebbandflow · 21/05/2012 09:34

I can actually remember the taste of them-they don't actually taste at all like unbroken biscuits. I don't think I would like them now-my taste buds need more complex tastes these days.

loopylou6 · 21/05/2012 09:35

you can get them in Farmfoods too, not that I actually go there you understand

UKSky · 21/05/2012 09:39

You can buy toffeepops in the 99p shop

fluffiphlox · 21/05/2012 09:41

I think there may be a telephone helpline for sufferers of BBTD (broken biscuit trauma disorder)...

onadifferentplanet · 21/05/2012 09:41

Milk and More do them .You can get one that is all sorts of biscuits and one that is all chocolate varieties

LittleMissFlustered · 21/05/2012 09:42

Bastards!

knowitallstrikesagain · 21/05/2012 09:42

YANBU. Very upsetting. Although still better than no biscuits.

UnChartered · 21/05/2012 09:48

i've got to wait in for the frigging shopping to be delivered before i can go out! Confused i want a biscuit NOW!!

wheredidiputit · 21/05/2012 10:46

I get them from my milkman.

Although I have to say my dc love a box of broken biscuits . But if I buy normal biscuits and they break they wont eat them.

ThePinkPussycat · 21/05/2012 10:54

No-one has asked the most important question - milk or plain chocolate? (Can't stand ones with milk choc)

midori1999 · 21/05/2012 11:07

We live near a Burtons biscuit factory and they do not sell 'broken' biscuits, but sell 'slight seconds'. Grin They seem to get very offended if you call them broken biscuits.

Anyway, they sell indivdual types of biscuits, so you know what you're getting and it's about the equivalent to 1/3 of a carrier bag full for £1.20. Toffeepops are regularly featured, as are Caramel biscuits, viscounts, chocolate shortbread, luxury choc chunk cookies and all sorts of other nice things. They also do a bag with ten packs of 'shop standard' biscuits for a fiver.

I try to avoid it like the plague, it is not good for my waistline one bit, even if I walk there....

Londoner1 · 03/11/2015 13:48

Where can I buy a box of broken biscuits ? I live in Kent.

I know some have said The Range....but that's not a food store.

BreakingDad77 · 03/11/2015 13:55

I know its not a food store but they do sell them bizarrely. When I went fortnight ago they had a standard broken biscuits and "dunking broken biscuit" box. We went for the latter lots of choc covered shortbreads, digestives, few sandwich type biscuits. Would buy again lol

PolShelby · 03/11/2015 14:02

I had toffeepops quite recently and I think I got them from Tesco.

Just googled and apparently it's 'Toffy' not 'Toffee'.... who knew?!

Amazemedontbeacunt · 03/11/2015 14:06

You can get toffypops in b and m home bargains tesco and farm foods. Farm foods also do the broken biscuits.

FrozenPonds · 03/11/2015 14:07

We buy them in The Range too. They sell everything, like Woolworths used to!

Our last box had loads of Viennese chocolate sandwich biscuits - best box ever Grin.

squoosh · 03/11/2015 14:07

Sounds like biscuit Russian Roulette.

I'd be gutted if I was expecting toffeepops but got digestives instead.

ErrinPerrin · 03/11/2015 14:30

I've stopped buying them as decided they're poor value. 300g for a £1. You can buy 300g of a biscuit you actually want for the same price.

EatDessertFirst · 03/11/2015 14:38

Broken biscuits are an abomination. All the flavour falls out and each biscuit is covered in the debris of its box brothers.

YABU to buy broken biscuits. All of you!

HoundoftheBaskervilles · 03/11/2015 14:45

Ohh, broken biscuits, my Mum went away when I was in my first year of Uni and paid me and my friend £100 to stay in her house and look after the animals for a fortnight.

Unfortunately we spent all the money on 'entertainments' the first weekend and had to live on broken biscuits, yoghurt and eggs from the milkman for the next two weeks.

Happy days.

Londoner1 · 03/11/2015 15:09

I'll look for my closest one and try The Range.

Went in to Farm Foods this morning and they said they haven't had them in there for a looooong time ! We visit an elderly lady (96) who just loves these boxes of biscuits and as we'll be visiting her soon, I wanted to get her a couple more boxes.

ALemonyPea · 03/11/2015 15:20

This thread is from 2012. No wonder they've not them in for a long time.

What an odd thread to resurrect.

Londoner1 · 04/11/2015 12:01

Hello ALemonypea, as I'm totally new on here (this being my first post), I didn't notice that this thread was so "old".....or that due to it's age, it was a closed subject.

Having said that, every other person that's posted a reply on here has given me positive feed back, which I'm grateful for.

I'm sorry that you found it an "odd post to resurrect", as it's been a helpful one to me.

Our FF often has luxury and standard BB. My DC prefer the standard but I could probably eat a luxury box to myself!
