and... is there REALLY a market for all this Jubilee-inspired clothing? It even has its own section! Is anyone actually buying this stuff?

Respect to your friend!

PoppyWearer · 17/05/2012 22:44

Harriet I want one!

MsVestibule · 17/05/2012 22:47

I've just spent £15 in Wilkonsons on jubilee tat for my jubilee party and also bought a jubilee sundress for my DD(5) from Next (£22 if any of you want to buy one too).

So stick that in your pipe and smoke it, yet miserable lot. And I don't care if all of the above makes me beyond uncool Grin.

I was in the garden centre the other day and a cake stand was £60, a tea-pot was £45 and cups were £10!!!! Very tempted to go in on the Wednesday after and buy them in the sale.
:)

Sigh.

I was dragged across the ocean to live in North America at the age of 12. Love my adoptive country but it's not England Sad. There's no royalty, no castles, no rich history.

I'm all over the Jubilee tat and if I uttered the word "bunting" in company people would think I was being rude Grin

You miserable bastards. I think its lovely that finally we can get the union flag out for an occasion we can celebrate as a nation. It's finally not seen as a racist symbol. We should just be fucking happy -2012 is a year for the UK to be proud of hosting the Olympics and celebrating the Jubilee. I like seeing all the bunting.

toofattorun · 17/05/2012 23:13

MsVestibule, I love that dress from Next! If I thought I would look good in it, I would have bought one too.

cocolepew · 17/05/2012 23:15

DD has to wear Jubilee themed clothing to her schools street party.

She is completly refusing to wear a Sex Pistols God Save The Queen t shirt.

Party Pooper.

2old, that's lovely Smile

Toofat pleased I'm not the only one with a bit of enthusiasm for this!

I think the dress I bought only went up to age 10, so I suspect you may have a little trouble slipping into it Wink. But now you've got me thinking about buying a tasteful union flag dress for myself. Not sure it will look as cute on my not-so-toned size 14 body as it will on my skinny 5 YO DD, though...

Ill be on holiday on the isle wight that week and have bought bunting for the caravan Blush

holmesgirl · 18/05/2012 08:36

Not as sick as I am of all that 'KEEP CALM AND add your own nonsense here crap.

toofattorun · 18/05/2012 08:56

MsVestibule - Sorry I thought you meant this dress. D'Oh!! Got a bit enthusiastic about responding and had missed that the dress was for your little girl! Blush

I think you should buy it for yourself!

I'm looking forward to our street party but not bothered about the tat in shops, jubilee or otherwise. There's simply too much tat in the world.

Too much of it in my house...
