Booyhoo - I meant that differently - if my DH did that with my kids I would want to know about it!

IAmBooyhoo · 18/05/2012 23:31

but why on earth would the police make sure the mother knew about it? as if telling tales on her naughty husband. would you honestly expect the police to let your husband know if you had been caught doing something idiotic like that? as if he was your parent?

Oh, how ridiculous, to compare this to riding a bike in Delhi.

That is like saying I am not allowed to complain about having a cold, cause in Delhi I might even catch malaria.

My DS came off his bike a few years ago, at quite a low speed. I was very glad he was wearing a helmet as it stopped his face hitting the floor. The very least that would have happened would have been losing a couple of teeth.

Are you sure it wasnt a doll???

i cant imagine being able to hold a squirmy wriggly 18 month old under my arm, whilst cycling!!!

I've seen something similar too - a man riding along with his ~3yo child balancing on (straddling) the crossbar, cycling along a notoriously dangerous (for cyclists) bit of main road, where I (as a fellow cyclist) have had more near-death experiences than I care to count Hmm

PS no helmet on this child, and nothing within arms reach that he could use to stop himself from flying forwards in the event of sudden braking.
