DH chucking out my homemade sauce?!

So, tell me, was I BU?

I made a pot of pasta sauce last night, to be portioned up and put in the freezer for meals for me, DH and DD. This morning (pre work) I was starting to decant it into the wee silicone muffin pans that I freeze it in. DH offered to take over as I needed to leave for work earlier than him this morning. So, I thank him and go and get ready for work. When I come back into the kitchen he has piled the sauce into the muffin pan, each ?segment? is piled as high as could be. I suggest (nicely) that it might be an idea to take some out of each portion as it will expand when it freezes and make a mess (and I didn?t mention this, but lord knows how he would get it to the freezer without it going everything when it was so overfilled, but anyway?.). So, he starts spooning some of theme homemade tomato sauce out of the portions and puts it in the BIN. WTAF?

His rationale was the muffin tins were full, so what else was he going to do with it? Apparently putting it in any one of the other 7 million pieces of Tupperware or food bags we have wasn?t an option. I must admit I told him I couldn?t believe what he was doing and could he not see it would be slightly irritating to me to see food that I made being thrown in the bin like that.

Yes, I know it is only pasta sauce. But it was homemade, took me time and effort and he was just flinging it in the bin without any thought. But, was IBU?

YANBU. And brilliant idea about the muffin trays - gonna do that tomorrow!

FWIW, my OH has a thing about throwing food away, if he cooks too much pasta, instead of making it into lunches etc he will bin it. Same with rice.

I remember cooking some chicken legs and OH dished up the dinner. The legs we didn't eat, he put back into the oven where they sat for a few days intil I opened the oven again. Angry

Fucking idiot.
