To moan about how sore my throat is?

It's fecking agony and I feel sorry for myself. DH missing a sympathy chip and instead asking if I will massage his tight calf!

Besides gargling with warm salty water, any suggestions to make it through the night?

Sorry you were feeling horrible on your birthday , and sorry this is a late reply. I get horrible sore throats, I use an anaesthetic throat spray and/or lozenges called Dequacaine or Merocaine, both have anaesthetic in, I keep them in all the time and swear by them and if you also dose up with paracetamol/ibuprofen it's much more bearable. HTH
