Yes, I'm looking at you Will.i.am with your ridiculous full stops. You are a great musician and rapper but you can't sing for toffee.

I've always thought Tom Jones is over-rated. He can belt out a tune OK but there's no range there, is there.

Jessie J is competent, but not to my taste.

And as for the other one. Well if he was any good, surely I would have heard of him before he was signed up for the programme.

Well I'm guessing they take who they can get on their budget. I'm sure the producers would love to have Prince, Madonna, Celine Dion and Eminem but they probably weren't interested

iirc someone said all the coaches and most of the song choices are from universal record label

Am just wondering how this works with the programme being on the BBC and therefore no advertising? Equally, how does will.I.am get away with wearing his own range of branded clothes?

I didn't really rate any of the judges in The Voice, (in the 5 minutes I actually watched) but you don't need to be able to sing to judge a competition.

I don't they need to be able to sing to be a judge - surely having a good ear is better for the judge. The ability to hear what the contestant is singing understand what is going on and comment on it. To know what works for someone else, and knwo what sounds good to others is probably more important.

Will.i.am annoys me lots. THe full stops, the name tags, the odd comments that make him sound like he is on something...but he seems quite sweet at the same time.
