Our TV is on the blink, actually I think it's to do with Sky, after some horrendous winds the reception has been really bad and the picture has been patchy for the past 4 days.

DP asked me to contact Sky today to arrange a call out.

BUT. He (who is SAHD) has actually for the first time ever suggested taking DD out to the park and then to the shops. :)

Historically, before I leave for work I mention 'Why don't you do xyz' and although he does it, the idea has often been met with a groan or a grump. I am fed up of having to organise his daily schedule as well as mine.

So I'm not going to contact Sky for a few days and ensure that DP gets used to taking dd out and he might even take me up on my suggestion of going to toddlers groups more regularly.

After many abborted discussions on this topic, it looks like my chance is finally here!

I'm really confused! Are you pissed off because you think he should phone the telly man, or because he doesn't do enough with your DD during the day??

Actually, just reread the post. You think he's taking your DD out because they can't watch the TV? In that case, no, don't phone them! Now, if MN would go on the blink for a few days, I'd have a much cleaner house and my children wouldn't be as neglected Grin.

Sorry to confuse. You're right. I feel like the TV is the third parent sometimes and I want them to get out more.

A few days without TV is no hardship is it?

Now if MN was on the blink I reckon I'd have done some work today! Grin
