To be annoyed at all the chat threads in aibu?

Top 3 discussions in "most active" are in aibu yet are clearly chat topics. Perhaps I am being unnecessarily grumpy. Or perhaps I should go and join the pedants. Does it annoy anyone else? Or just me.

We care. Because its messy and annoying.

Why do you think you are above the rules?

AgentZigzag · 12/05/2012 12:04

Hahahaha at 'above the rules' Grin

Are you a teacher in RL by any chance CallMeAl?

fuckbucket · 12/05/2012 12:06

Spookily I was just thinking 'dear god why are there so many topics and subtopics on MN' when I found this thread, Hecate has it absolutely spot on.
I've just PM-d someone to suggest she moves her perfectly sensible behaviour/development question to Chat, as I am quite certain there are more than 2 other mnetters who could give her some useful input, but that's all she's had in 36 hours on that forum.

You are not above using the boards in a tidy fashion.

yes. An anal one at that.

Put things in the right places, its not that hard. You're only letting yourself down you know......

Trills · 12/05/2012 12:43

It's not about being overly chatty, it's about the thread not asking if someone is being unreasonable or not.

AgentZigzag · 12/05/2012 12:52

I'm not bloody crossing you, bet you've got one of those foghorn teacher voices CallMeAl Grin

I apologise for laughing at you, I'll make an effort to listen more and chat less in AIBU please don't tell my mum

CallMeAl · 12/05/2012 12:55

Ok, but I'm docking 10 house points and next time it will be detention

redwineformethanks · 12/05/2012 13:09

I'm with you OP. I've ranted about this before.

I want to read about ghastly relatives, wedding disasters and playground scraps.

I'm not interested in "AIBU to be surprised that Lidl sell hairbrushes?" etc

In the past I have reported some posts and they've been moved. Now I just ignore the dull AIBU posts
