'I'll learn how to hold a baby when my new brother is born'.

He has three brothers Sad and his mum is due next week. Not really sure why I am posting tbh, just needing to get it out a bit, and I know it will upset OH if I bring it up.

maybe the new baby is knocking his nose out of joint? Is he used to having his mum to himself?

Maybe it's a case of "I'll have to learn to " because his mum will expect him to help out. Rather than "I will learn/want to learn".

And it's too late for a refund. That expires at 10 yo. Grin.

I think it's a case of his postion being usurped (is that a word?)
And ...imagine being 11 yo and knowing your mother had sex Shock Blush

Sounds to me as if your DSS took your OH's comment as a personal criticism (of his baby holding abilities) so his comment is more aimed at your OH's ability to teach baby holding compared to his Mum's. It doesn't sound like any kind of comment on your child at all. Does he know you tell people three year olds are better at it than he is? That might affect how he feels too.
