AIBU to wonder why any one would want to give their car eyelashes? What next? Hair extensions that attach to the roof?

Someone near us has some on a really butch looking Chrysler. I think of it as 'that transvestite car'. They also have hilarious christmas lights in their garden. I must try and make friends with them.

Italian style with <a class="break-all" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6DpaCdYYp9o/Twlxefvp31I/AAAAAAAADv0/cUjnS5UxdZ0/s1600/lamborghini_miura_headlight.jpg" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">these eyelashes on this car

One of the partners at my last practice was a car collector and he had one. I will never forget being taken to a meeting in Falmouth one summer afternoon in it. Envy

I always think "Why would you?". Perhaps I'm showing my age Grin

fullofregrets · 04/05/2012 13:20

I kind of want some but can't bring myself to do it.
They should make vajazzles in the style of towie for cars. Could go around the exhaust pipe. Definitely a gap in the market.

They only really work on round headlights.

My old Nissan Almera needed Evil Eyebrows.

Ambi · 04/05/2012 13:31

They look awful, unless you love everything pink and glittery. bleugh. I've got an Almera, evil eyebrows would work great - esp the way I throwitaround drive it.

marathonrunner · 04/05/2012 13:56

I had only recently seen the once that stick flat to the car until recently. However, the other day, I say once that where actually sticking up off the car IYSWIM. They were like the false eyelashes of car eyelashes. And no the car wasn't being driven by an 18 year old, it was being driven by an lady of mature years Grin

marathonrunner · 04/05/2012 13:57

Sorry posting from phone, hope post makes sense!!

fatherchewylouis · 04/05/2012 14:17

There is a baby pink car with eyelashes round these parts and my daughter (4) LOVES it.

picnicbasketcase · 04/05/2012 14:22

My 4 year old dd spotted one the other day too, laughed her arse off Grin

ChrissasMissis · 04/05/2012 14:58

Almost as irritating as those stickers that say: "Powered By Fairy Dust".

ILikeTrains · 04/05/2012 15:00

Does 'Babe on Board' trump fairy dust?

Grin @ car bollocks

piprabbit · 04/05/2012 15:21

All the local mobile beauticians have eyelashes on their cars - it's a statement innit?

NettoSuperstar · 04/05/2012 16:05

this trumps all of the other signs.
I have itGrin

RightBuggerforit · 04/05/2012 16:07

I like them, they're fun. I also love the idea of car bollocks - perfect for your penis extension! If I knew someone who drove a porche, I would get them a pair for xmas.

FoofyShmooffer · 04/05/2012 16:08

There's a little red Citroen near us all decked out as a ladybird. Spots and diamanté eyelashes.

It is appealing.

Pendeen · 04/05/2012 16:08

Netto - do you really? You lucky mare.

I am so Envy

Pendeen · 04/05/2012 16:11

Foofy - was it this Citroen.

I miss my little old 2CV Dolly.

NettoSuperstar · 04/05/2012 16:14

I really do Pendeen.
I've only had a car since December, and it was the first thing I bought for it.
I embrace my inner chav through my carGrin

i saw a mini at work with them the other and thought WTAF....

i can kind of see why you would if you are pink and girly and had the right pink and girly car.

i like the evil eyebrows idea better....we should have them on the company cars!

FoofyShmooffer · 04/05/2012 17:11

Pendeen - no its a brand new one although I do prefer the old ones myself.

ConferencePear · 04/05/2012 17:25

I just walked out of the hospital into the car park after a not very happy visit and saw one of these. It gave me a laugh just when I needed one.
