... Parent and child parking spaces BUT when walking past them in the Waitrose car park the other day, I had the urge to check out the back seats to see if there were child seats in them. WTF was that all about?

Worse still all my conversations are "I read on the internet" - for internet read MN as I don't want to share that I am here - they would probably find me!!

DH just sighs at the on MN comments!

I actually said out loud to OH recently - "yabu". As if it was a real word...it came out sounding like yaboo incase anyone was wondering Grin.

Pendeen · 01/05/2012 15:55

Does surprise me how many (unpaid) traffic wardens / parking attendants there are on MN.

I have 4 under 5 every day (cm) and have had 4 Dcs and I would gladly give up parent and toddler space for old folks.

Why dont' they put short term metered places right by the door for those who are in a genuine rush and then the PC places a bit further back and then large places even further back so those who don't want their car kissed by other cars can park more freely and just walk an extra 50 yards. it's as stupid as Ikea having disabled parking spaces by the doors. You will take over 1km at lest to go around an ikea so why does 50 m more matter.

CheshireDing · 01/05/2012 20:44

Loony I say exactly that (for trying to hide mn information I have gleaned)!

I found myself trying to work out how to do a strike through on Microsoft Outlook at work today. Didn't succeed so if someone wants to tell me how that would be marvellous thanks

im not that arsed about cars in the P&T spaces...

i do take issue with WINNEBAGOS parked up...blocking 1/2 of the "road" space sticking its huge rear end out of the P&T space in the carpark of asda saisbo's while the residents have loud, winnebago-wobbling sex mid sunday afternoonShock i was too chicken to knock on the door thoughBlush but i expertly dodged DD(6) questions...("ring the police mummy there is someone screaming in that caravan car...whats happening mummy?")

Duckypoohs · 02/05/2012 01:42

I think yabu, it kind of goes on cycles the Mn thing, you first find it and suddenly realise that all kinds of people hate you for random reasons, you may then somewhat modify your behaviour. After a while you realise most people are cunts, you then go and cease to give a fuck about random judging.

LadyBabsWalthamCuddles · 02/05/2012 01:57

I tried to do this on outlook the other day too. I discovered that you can do it (you go into the full font menu thingie and select strikethrough) but I decided that it wasn't exactly professional.

I don't like that you can't do it in texts though. i typed [grin ] in a text the other day (without space) and when my friend replied I told her it would be more effective if she put [hmm ]

I think in thread titles too Grin

Remember older children don't need car seats, and the little ones can be carried out in their little seats, so you are being a little bit weird to base your righteous anger on this parameter.

FrillyMilly · 02/05/2012 02:08

I've found myself checking out all the people who park on P&C spaces too. They have never bothered me until coming on here.

The other day someone came to my house and when she washed her hands asked if she could use either towel that was hanging in the bathroom to dry her hands. I nearly responded with don't worry I don't have a bum towel.

Smurfy1 · 02/05/2012 02:12

My 10 yr DSD is made to walk from the further un car populated area of the carpark so no fecker dings my car Grin
