Please tell me if i am being unreasonable here! My new partner and I have been invited to a wedding in Cyprus for a week. Not a problem...... except his ex wife.....who i have never met.....and all of their mutual friends are going too. Now, I have said that I don't want to go....due to her being there....and he thinks that i am being unreasonable and moody about it!!!!!
Please tell me, yes, or no......would you go.........thank you x

I'd feel pretty uncomfortable in this situation. You've been together around a year so that you still regard him as your 'new' partner; I presume they were married for more than a year? You've met the group of friends, but they were their mutual friends before you showed up; it would be natural to feel that they are more her friends than yours, and worry that you will be feeling the odd one out. For a week, unable to escape. Plus, you're pregnant and they broke up over not having children, so you probably feel you're rubbing it in her face and making her uncomfortable.

And you can't see why he can't see that this situation is uncomfortable for you and probably her too. He's expecting you all to gloss over it and play nice, so that he can have a lovely week away with all his friends. And the wedding's not even for a very close friend.

I don't know about the wedding thing, but your use of extended ellipses is definitely unreasonable.

I wouldn't touch this with a barge pole - all her friends and people who were their friends, and they split because they couldn't have children and you;re pregnant with his child? just no! I wonder if anyone has told her you're invited? She might be anything from completely ok to planning how best to drown you in the pool and make it look like an accident... just my opinon but oooo NO WAY.
