I spend the day trying to wear her out and ages trying to get her to bed then an hour after she's asleep, I miss her!

AIBU?

Hehe, one of mine's 2.4 as well Grin

Bloody lovely age IMO.

fluffypillow · 28/04/2012 22:29

I know the feeling. My DD is 15 months, and has me on the go all day long, but when she's in bed the house is so quite....feels strange, and I miss her.

She still wakes a couple of times in the evening though for a booby feed, and this gives me a chance for a snuggle!

CelstialNavigation · 28/04/2012 22:32

I am hoping the opportunity to miss DS arises sometime soon. It should have hours ago but he is holding out strongly. Perhaps he thinks I'll miss him too much....

BarredfromhavingStella · 28/04/2012 22:34

Yes YABU, bedtime is sacred time in this house but then I have a 6 month old ds to go with my 2 year old dd :)

fotheringhay · 28/04/2012 23:04

I miss ds (19mo) when he's in bed, even though that's not normally till 9pm. Sometimes dh and I look at photos of him in the evening and practically well up.

Tragic isn't it?!

Mrsjay · 28/04/2012 23:11

My 19 yr old is still up annoying us i really really really wish she would go to bed , it really will pass the feeling of missing them Grin

MrsHerculePoirot · 28/04/2012 23:17

Exactly the same here - DH and I were discussing it earlier! She fell out of bed tonight (never does this!) with a real bump so we both got some extra cuddles with her!

MrsHerculePoirot · 28/04/2012 23:17

She is 2.4 too!

ExitPursuedByABear · 28/04/2012 23:20

Nah - I don't miss mine when she goes to bed, because I know before long she will be in with me. She is 12.

Why would I not want to sleep with her? She is gorgeous and fabulous and she can't argue with me when she is asleep - well, she does talk a lot in her sleep but what the hell - she won't want to do it when she is 18!

BlueRinse · 28/04/2012 23:20

Mine didn't go to bed until 9.45 so I don't miss them all one bit.

I will also wish they didn't miss me at 7.30am when all 3 jump on my bed and fight for the warm spot!!

aquashiv · 28/04/2012 23:21

Its good to miss you children I relish that feeling.
With three of them it doesnt happen that often but I would say indeed on the the very rare occassions I have it its rather close to happiness...

Beveridge · 28/04/2012 23:21

YANBU

But I assume they sleep through?

Mine don't, so it's never that long before I see them again so I don't feel the same about mine!

aquashiv · 28/04/2012 23:25

I would just add they are at the age where they are obsessed with me and want to marry me and if I am not in their line of vision they cry the moment they set eyes on me.

I used to loook longlingly at mine too smell them and everything but now I run as fast as my little legs will carry me when I can get away from them.

RobinSparkles · 28/04/2012 23:34

When mine are in bed I want to wake them up to give them a cuddle. They look so gorgeous and sweet but when they wake up I wished they'd sod off back to bed! :o

Thingiebob · 29/04/2012 00:16

She doesn't sleep through. Never has so I know she will wake pretty soon and come into bed with me and DH. All snuggly and lovely!

YANBU I miss ds when he's in bed too and when I'm at work. Ds is 2.11 and is definitely at the best age :)
