hours of fun for Mrbojangles1

FeakAndWeeble · 26/04/2012 20:59

It's made it's way onto the BBC too

LadyBeagleEyes · 26/04/2012 21:00

I've just read the comments on that article, and yes even the DM readers recognise a chancer when they see one.
I'm just delighted that nobody turned up as they were obviously too smart to be caught out in this scam.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 26/04/2012 21:02

awww they appear to have removed Princess Di from the DailyMail -o- matic.

I clicked at least 10 times and she didnt come up once.

FeakAndWeeble · 26/04/2012 21:03

She came up when I clicked on it just now

LadyBeagleEyes · 26/04/2012 21:05

I can't believe it's got on the BBC.
Remember the name STEFAN BLACK please, he want's to start a company on the backs of ripping off the unemployed.
Wanker.

mamij · 26/04/2012 21:09

Oooh. Now it's on the BBC site, I believe every word of it Smile

DesperatelySeekingSedatives · 26/04/2012 21:28

Tbh if I was say, a single mum on benefits I'd stay on bloody benefits rather than take this shitty job. £100 a week basic is not good money if you're doing full time hours (is it full time hours?) Either way, minimum wage is not "good money" Hmm it is minimum wage.

I've spent best part of 10 years working for minimum wage (should have worked harder at school, my fault) and it gets you fuck all.

Anyway it was raining loads yesterday, so there! Grin Wink

AppleCrumbleAndFish · 26/04/2012 21:49

I don't understand this story. If he's offering £100 per week full time that's not minimum wage. Some companies get round the situation by making their employees 'self employed' . He's a tosser. Hope someone sees this story and investigates him.

FeakAndWeeble · 26/04/2012 21:58

I don't think this thread has gone in quite the direction the OP was anticipating Grin

sashh · 27/04/2012 07:31

from the article
The jobseekers who failed to turn up will not lose their benefits because the basic pay is under the minimum wage.

One said he didn't want to pay £5 to get there, assuming £5 is a return ticket that means he would get £75 a week for full time hours, basically £4 more than benefits - I can see his point

The bloke is a tosser, the Daily Mail is a hate filled rag. Your choice of story to froth about doesn't have much going for it does it.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 27/04/2012 07:48

I lasted a day at my telesales job. The going rate was £150 a week with commission and this was over ten years ago!

I would of lasted half a day but I was meeting my boyfriend for a lift home.

aliencoffeemachine · 27/04/2012 09:20

i have no idea who mrbojangles is but do they really warrant the 'thick as shit' type posts??

My God, my first job straight out of University 20+ years ago paid £100 a week and I was disgusted at how little it was then!! Shock (It went up after a year - NHS wage though, so not much)
This bloke is not being remotely generous to unemployed people, he just saw a chance to get cheap labour from desperate people - glad they turned his "job" down.
Bloody chancer.

maddening · 27/04/2012 11:48

on his advert it says £6 an hour .'but £100 a week is far from that - they probably got offered the job they thought was on £6 an hour and when they realised the actual wage decided against it - I'm not sure if I believe his rain hype either

frikinfabulous · 27/04/2012 11:58

yabvu.

i went for a telesales job and was told at interview that is was basic plus commision done a full week and expected to get paid nothing came so i challenged the manager and was told i had'nt sold enough of the product so would not be getting paid total scam needless to say i walked straight out never to return.

AnyFucker · 27/04/2012 17:12

aliencoffeemachine yup

there's a theme ya see

carernotasaint · 27/04/2012 17:59

CarSmart UK are being deluged by Twitter users venting their disgust.
Serves them right. Looks like bleating to the Daily Mail has backfired on them spectacularly.

AnyFucker · 27/04/2012 18:00

heh

2ombie5layer · 27/04/2012 18:03

Id rather be one of those people Ive seen in London standing with a sign directing you to the neared Subway or whatever.
