I came across this story online and cannot get my head around it:
jezebel.com/5904427/real-housewives-simon-van-kempen-ejaculated-on-his-wife-while-she-gave-birth-to-their-son

It's about a couple from a US reality show (Real Housewives of New York) and the fact that while experiencing something like an orgasmic birth, the wife realised her husband had too:

"Once he was finally out of my body, I experienced a tsunami of endorphins that was almost orgasmic, and I understand completely the stories other women have written about ecstatic birth. Simon was sitting behind me at the point of birth, and later when we untangled ourselves he discovered he'd actually ejaculated though hadn't felt any of the normal lead-up to that. It may seem distasteful to some, and definitely neither of us was thinking of sex at the time, but with the rush of emotion and my lower nerve endings going crazy, it's not too far a stretch to say that it's a profound experience."

Is that something that happens???! I was skeptical enough about female orgasmic birth experiences but this is something else... Has anyone heard of this before?

It am trying to be open minded but it is weird isn't it?

Ewwwwwwwwwwwww. I consider myself open minded but that is just, well, wrong. Sad

Glad to share such an - ahem - interesting mental image with the rest of MN.

I imagine they were both naked during the birth. Hence it becoming so immediately obvious what had happened when they 'untangled' themselves.

The poor midwife. I wonder if she had to clean them both up Confused

Also from all the eeewwwww responses, I'm gathering that this isn't a thing that happens... which makes me Smile.

Good God, have you ever seen the show? They were bad enough on that but now with that image in my head, I need brain bleach! He's British and they are totally cuckoo!

mybabyweightiseightyearsold · 26/04/2012 11:01

I've not watched the show, and am rather glad of that!

However, I do watch OBEM - and it is now ruined for me. I'll be closely watching the daddies, just incase one has a suspicious grunt.

Pah.

ComedyCentral, "jizzy husband" is my new favourite phrase. Grin

ShatnersBassoon · 26/04/2012 11:06

He must be on a hair trigger if emotion and excitement is all it takes. I'd hate to sit next to him on a rollercoaster, but would probably buy the photo at the end Grin

manicbmc · 26/04/2012 11:18

He sounds like that character in the Fast Show who comes when he picks a library book. Hmm

SoupDragon · 26/04/2012 11:22

I think the writing in that link that went with the quote is far more revolting than the quote itself.

WilsonFrickett · 26/04/2012 12:02

Someone has commented that they will now start using the expression 'it scared the seed out of me'. I am finding that extremely amusing. Thanks the internet!

fullofregrets · 26/04/2012 12:08

Oh god. That is just disgusting. I am disgusted.
Also, I hate the word ejaculated. I don't care that it is the proper word. It sounds horrible.
He was so excited he ejaculated. Urgghhhh.

BananasInBloomers · 26/04/2012 12:40

I read the link and I had an image of her screaming and pushing and him standing beside her having a spanky wank.

pigletmania · 26/04/2012 12:40

I was a little bit sick in my mouth just then

fullofregrets · 26/04/2012 12:49

Me too bananas.

valiumredhead · 26/04/2012 12:53

Oh they have to come up with some bizarre story to keep them in the headlines now they have been axed from the show.

molly3478 · 26/04/2012 12:58

What on earth did the midwife think?

cheekybarsteward · 26/04/2012 13:32

Shock

I wish I hadn't just read that. I'm going outside to pot up my busy lizzies. [blinks].

TheRhubarb · 26/04/2012 14:02

It's not true. It's just a great PR stunt. They know that if they say the most shocking things then it will get them good publicity. Female orgasm during birth is highly debatable so they thought they would take it one step further. It's all bollocks. As is female orgasm during birth imo.
