to loathe the term 'pro-active'?

I'm not sure they are exactly the same, - as I understand it active means doing something, pro-active means doing something pre-emptively, and re-active means doing something after the event.

I do agree it is rather over-used though. Smile

YANBU. I also hate having to be it - I'm feeling particularly exhausted and hacked off this week as I've done nothing but chase people to do stuff that they should have been professional enough to get done without being chased (what with being paid large fees to do the work!).

YANBU. It is pointless and more to the point (geddit) OLD HAT. It just means use your common sense. Which most people do anyway.
