because I can imagine all the fun they can have on the way down? Especially in old buildings where the drains go here, there and everywhere. If you poo in the ground floor toilet your poo is in the overcrowded drain in seconds, jostling it's way down the sewer. With a high level poo, it gets whooshed around, up and down on an exciting roller-coaster of a ride.

Thinking of the welfare of my poos isn't unreasonable is it?

I've poo'd on top of the Empire State Building. Several times. Damn you, odd fast food noodle place. Urgh, what a trip.

when I lived in halls of residence - people on my floor came out of toilets complaining that rain was dripping from the ceiling. It was raining but as I pointed out there were four floors above this floor, with toilets in same place, so how was rain getting through those floors especially as no-one up there was complaining.

Wasn't a popular observation and caused a shower queue and a complaint to building services.
