No sure of annoyed is the right word to be honest.. Miffed?

She's owes me some money money, not a fortune but about £70. Made up of a few instances of borrowing £20/£30. Anyway DH came home today and said he'd spoke to her DH (we all get on etc) and he told him that she'd spent nearly £400 on their DS this weekend on clothes (from one of those designer outlet places) Hmm

I know she earns very good money, and I understand kids need new clothes (constantly!) but I've seen her a few times these past few weeks and she hasn't offered me my money back. Although I havent outright asked for it back, just more of a "just give it me back next time blah blah"

YANBU and I understand you not wanting to ask directly for it back. You could just think of something that you want/need, mention buying it and saying oh yes "that £70 will pay for that, great" which shows you want it back but isn't directly asking iyswim.

I made the mistake with a client who I had become friendly with, of giving her the invoice and saying "no hurry to pay". My usual 14 day terms were stretched to about 4 months and I couldn't chase it because of what I'd said!

On another note, it really annoys me when people go out with £2.50 or some other tiny sum that will never cover their day. I am constantly bailing out my DSis who never has enough money on her. I shoul add that this annoyance doesn't extend obviously to those who genuinely haven't got the money.
