Ok - so crap weather for our dc's during the Easter holidays - now they are back at school AIBU to think that mother nature should at least give us parents a break and offer up some sunshine? It's due to rain all flaming week here in limpsfield - bah!

We're much the same in Scotland -we had torrential hail showers last night!
Even 1 dry day would be good -we've not had a day without at least a shower since before the easter hols!

LaurieFairyCake · 18/04/2012 08:50

eh? It was lovely weather here for the first 10 days, then a bit windy and chilly and now it's thankfully going to rain for the next 4.

We are in a hosepipe ban there's been so little rain Grin

Bokkanikkaglory · 18/04/2012 08:50

All I want to do is open up the windows and air the house get the washing on the line and get out in the garden - AIBU?

Ahh yes the drought! Apparently all the rain wont help, Some man on BBC weather said 'it was the wrong type of rain'

Hmm
TheNightIsDarkAndFullOfTerrors · 18/04/2012 09:03

I need to get the bloody sofa cushions washed and on the line after two weeks of DC filthying them. YANBU!

southeastastra · 18/04/2012 09:03

i just bought some sandals too Grin

SoupDragon · 18/04/2012 09:04

A few days of rain won't fix the drought anyway - it has two years of dry winters to make up for.

TheNightIsDarkAndFullOfTerrors · 18/04/2012 09:05

Well it's obviously all your fault southeastastra.

I cancelled last year's summer by buying sunscreen.

YouChangeWithTheWeather · 18/04/2012 09:08

DH helpfully 'put away' anything that might be considered useful in cold or wet weather. So no boots, waterproofs, winter coats, raincover for the buggy. As for where he put it all? Who knows Hmm

So that was a fun school run.

DizzyCow63 · 18/04/2012 09:08

I need good weather please please for DS's birthday party on Saturday, bouncy castle out in the garden wont be much use if it pours Sad

I'm half pleased, because if we hadn't had any rain the price of hay would be through the roof this year, but I'm a gardener and it looks like I'll lose 3 days work this week because of it.I can't afford that but there is nothing I can do about it.We have got a new pony coming on trial this week,so I can pretty much guarantee rain for the forseeable future.

mayaswell · 18/04/2012 09:38

southeast I ruined a summer by buying a white linen skirt in April. So buying sandals by Easter is downright provocative.

I'm sorry, I think it's my fault. It rains for my birthday every year, so it'll probably piss down on Saturday

lolaflores · 18/04/2012 13:03

Has it dawned on you yet that you don't live in the Med?

Rhubarbgarden · 18/04/2012 13:11

Well I'm really glad to see the rain because the gardens need it desperately, and being heavily preggers I'm not up to carting a watering can around (hosepipe ban here). And I say that with a long weekend on the Norfolk coast planned this weekend. As my mother would have said, "cagoules on, you won't melt".
