To expect DD to shower and change having slept in her clothes all night

I despair, not only did she decide to go to bed fully dressed but she's planning on going out of the door looking like she's just slept in her clothes (because she has, obviously)

My goodness, Insancerre. You definitely do have my DD! DS is very like yours. He keeps his room like a palace, showers at least once a day and takes great care of his appearance.

Our DD doesn't take cutlery upstairs (that would almost be on pain of death), but does have a nice layer or two of dirty and clean clothes, topped off with an upside down TV that luckily didn't break as it fell on said layers of clothes. We did try the door off solution, but it didn't work as the smell then permeated through the rest of the house Shock and Blush. Really at wits' end of how to make her clear out bedroom. When it is done she's a much happier person, but she can't/won't see that. I just get too annoyed if I do it and we can't just chuck all the stuff out as other people's stuff mysteriously emigrates to her room when she can't find her own stuff.

Sorry for the hijack, OP.

Oh Christ, this'll be the next thing DD will start doing.

They are not supposed to take food upstairs, that's the bloody annoying thing.
She has had issues and I am picking my battles, so some things have been left to slide.
She just doesn't seem bothered about anything, belongings are not important to her, doesn't matter if they are hers or anyone else's- they all end up in the pit.

I wonder if the thing about possessions is deliberate. DH went in with a bin bag to do the much-threatened floor sweep once and narrowly missed throwing out my Clinique stuff Shock

My usually stinky and reluctant washer of a 13 year old son got up early and voluntarily showered both yesterday morning and this morning.

I think it might be a girl...
