My DB is shopping for a tattoo at the mo, and he mentioned to me that he expects to spend £80+p/h!! Shock I nearly spat out my tea! Is this normal or AIBU?

I think you should budget for the subsequent removal when planning a tattoo. It can go horribly wrong. Oh and make sure you are the weight you intend to stay when you get it But no I think that's pretty cheap actually.

That sounds quite cheap. That £80 has to cover the share of premises-related costs and other overheads, supplies, tax and NI, presumably VAT (unless that's extra on top) plus the actual take home pay for the artist.

Ive spent (bit of guess work here) prob about £2000 plus on mine over the years. The most expensive one being roughly about £900. Which was "lace up legs" looks like my legs are laced up at the back (think boots but with ribbons) runs from my ankles to the tops of my legs.

I paid £50 for 13 letters ansd two squiggly lines, about two inchs of tattoo in total and it was discounted from £75

So I would say £80 for an hours work is quite cheap, mine certainly didn't take that long. Then again I think my Mum paid the same artist about £300 for 6 hours work, but then again it took 3 or 4 sessions to do so I suppose it all evens itself out.
