To think male doctors/health professionals are more understanding during birth than women?

I've just posted in childbirth for some advice following the birth of DS. It got me remembering, by far the two most understanding people were the male anesthetist and male doctor who saw me after the birth.

The female midwives just seemed to be like 'oh god, stop over reacting love!'

YABU to extrapolate from a single experience of birth.

Oh god I don't want to start a riot! Was talking to my friends yesterday about it and they all seemed to agree...

Yabu. Agree with Winnybella.

My male midwife was a star, just the person you want during and after.
The male obstetrician who unceremoniously yanked my poor son into the world not so much.

I wouldn't judge either profession based on those two examples.

Sorry, YABU.
I'd say in my experience about half the male staff were wonderful, the other half weren't. And about the same for the female staff. Sex doesn't seem to make any difference.

YABU to generalise, it's dim.

YABU Some health professionals are more understanding than others.
Gender has nothing to do with it.
