CharlotteBronteSaurus · 12/04/2012 16:40

I'm with Air Chief Marshal Sir Jock Stirrup

kazmus · 12/04/2012 16:46

Flimflammery · 12/04/2012 16:48

Flimflammery · 12/04/2012 16:50

Also, weren't there about four people on Gardener's Question Time with gardening names? Somebody remind me. Pippa Greenwood? The old chappie, you know...

CharlotteBronteSaurus · 12/04/2012 16:52

Flimflammery · 12/04/2012 16:53

That's it! Bob Flowerdew. He sounds like he should be a hobbit. If he hadn't been a gardener, that is.

Helltotheno · 12/04/2012 16:56

englishmummyinwales · 12/04/2012 17:35

I also love Cornelius Lysaght who is a racing correspondent on 5Live

ohdobuckup · 12/04/2012 17:59

There was a (I think South African) politician called Tokyo Sexwhale .... just a great, great name

And there's an actor who gets on Corrie called Finetime Fontaine ..fab

SwedishEdith · 12/04/2012 18:02

I love it but do have a soft spot for Fenella Fudge and Annabel Tiffin.

F1 Racing drivers nearly always have great names - Jody Scheckter (sp?), Ayrton Senna, Jenson Button. I think they choose the sport based on their name

Littleredant · 12/04/2012 20:54

My dd thought that Jonty Bloom was a made up name! She laughed when she first heard it. I explained that Jonty likely to be shortened form of Jonathan which she didn't think much of.

RedBlanket · 12/04/2012 21:04

I'm particularly taken with Padmasree Warrior. I got an invitation to hear her speak (via work, v boring stuff) and I googled her because I thought it was a made up name.

I like Jonty as a name, he's posh but good fun!

rhondajean · 12/04/2012 21:06
