In thinking a half eaten Easter egg, left on the kitchen table since yesterday, is fair game?

I ate a small piece of my DP's egg. He has been cross and aggressive, and says he feels violated, as I have stolen his chocolate. I gave him the egg in the first place, even though he doesn't like chocolate particularly and will always choose a savoury snack.
He has now stomped off into the dark and rainy night, on his bike.
Is he right to call this theft and a breach of trust?

Peace has been restored by the purchase of a half price choc bunny lolly from Hotel Chocolat. He has taken it away to eat in secret.
I have not yet asked where he was til 11.30 last night, but suspect he was in the bus shelter feeling wronged.

He did agree that he would have helped himself if I had left an open bottle of red wine on the table, so accepts that EggGate was an over reaction [bugrin]

Blimey.

Chez Pandora if you have choccy in your hand for longer than 5 seconds it's fair game!

Perhaps we're animals.
