To ask what you and d talk about?

I !don't mean insurance, who bought cat food etc,

I really want to know if you have stuff to talk about because it gets a bit boring for me. Would love new ideas after meeting way back in 1983!!

(21 years- we've been together, see above!)

We've been married 23 years and chat a lot, mainly because DH isvery much a "talker"

Friends
Future plans
Finances
The house/should we move
The dog

This morning chats have included-
Who makes the best salad and why
The increase in the price of food
Easter eggs [was the Hotel Chocolate egg worth the money no]
What to do with the dog when friends come for lunch today

Also forgot about the usual politics/news etc, books we are reading and we go to the cinema a lot, so film.

DH and I are both quiet introverts and find solace in each other's company as there are no pressures on us to talk! My days are high intensity emotionally as I'm either teaching or with highly extrovert toddler DD.

We like the same things but just don't talk about them much!

Anything, everything. DH has been much amused by the mad host thread here on MN. If I want a 'bloke' view then I ask DH.

If you're happy with the level of conversation you are having, then fine.

If not, do something different with him. Book a date to go to the cinema, theatre, sports event, museum (anything from transport to Egyptology) and find something to talk about!

The day we run out of conversation will be the day we will leave each other. And we don't have children to talk about.

I am completely confident it will never happen :)

(the conversation running out that is. I am still hoping the children thing might happen)

pretty standard stuff by the looks of this thread :)

Last night dp explained the theory of general relativity to me in a whisper over the sleeping head of dd before we went time sleep. Twas very interesting too.

Otherwise we talk about our days at work, what dd and ddog have done, or our shared hobbies.
