Apart from the whole "may not work" thing Wink

Off on holiday & he is stressing

It can't hurt and if he believes it then it might work. Win/win Grin

KatyMac · 06/04/2012 09:10

Exactly

Of course I'd have to tell him.....[buhmm]

I don't know if it's the brandy, but they certainly worked for me and my kids. I'd forgotten about rescue remedy, thanks for reminding me.

KatyMac · 06/04/2012 09:19

Me too

I'm on Rescue Remedy & he is on RR, Aspen & Beech

I might put DD onto RR too

I did a Bach Flower Remedy course many years ago, but I honestly couldn't remember what rememdy for what ailment.
I do know if I bought the entire kit it would cost £££s.

(The Rescue Remedy Cream is good though. I used it on tiny sore bottoms)

Mrsjay · 06/04/2012 13:05

dd uses it a lot once for a performance she did at school and then for her driving test you can get chewing gum dd used that , im not sure how or if it works but hey placebo affect and all that ,

It's the brandy, and the placebo. I would make your own (stronger) version, and call it a tonic. You can say that thousands swear by it. Because they do. Thousands of drunks.

MeconiumHappens · 06/04/2012 15:10

Rescue remedy is great stuff. Placebo or not, great stuff.

KatyMac · 06/04/2012 20:57

Calm & stress free journey

Worth it at 10 times the price

I got some Elm the other week, supposed to help if you are normally capable but are feeling swamped. Put a couple of drops on my tongue on about 3 occasions and the little taste bud thingies all went white and swelled up. It was like having a patch of sandpaper stuck on my tongue, then I just felt irritated as well as stressed.

KatyMac · 06/04/2012 21:08

Oh poor you

I always put it in a water bottle so I never did the tongue thing

They are amazing and definitely DO work it is just the cost of them these days.

Chubfuddler · 07/04/2012 06:51

For future a week of Kalms gets my Dh through the wobbly times - we are moving in a couple of weeks, must remember to dose him up.

KatyMac · 07/04/2012 07:31

TheUnsinkableTitanic · 07/04/2012 08:14

is it the going on holidays stresses him or being on holidays at home?

KatyMac · 07/04/2012 16:32

It's the going; once he is there we are fine Grin

Rescue remedy sweets. Marvellous. Hand one to every member of your family and suddenly everything is coming up roses.

Beats gin (before noon)

KatyMac · 09/04/2012 17:54

They worked Wink

We use flower remedies, and do find them very good. I tend to spike DS' school flask with anti-lairy remedies Wink

I am using a lot of cherry plum atm :( wild rose to motivate and stop procrastinating, and holly for DS.

I'd love to be able to buy a bigger range but they are pricey. Does anyone know of cheaper alternatives?

picnicbasketcase · 09/04/2012 19:32

I think it's probably absolute toss but I took some before my driving test and it seemed to work Confused
