...to wear jeans on 'glamorous' hen night?

I am starting to feel very stressed about what to wear for friend's hen night (in a few weeks).

We have been asked to wear tiaras and I have bought some cheap diamante jewellery to 'bling' up what I wear.

However, I never wear skirts or dresses (black trousers for work and jeans at home) and the party is in someone's house.

AIBU to wear a top, tiara, bling jewellery and smart black jeans?

Sounds ok to me?

If it's in someone's house, you might as well bring your slippers too Grin

YABU to go on a hen night!

Birdsgottafly · 04/04/2012 21:20

Dressy jeans are fine, with the right top, even if you were going out.

WorraLiberty · 04/04/2012 21:21

How is it unreasonable to go on a hen night dementedma?

GracieW · 04/04/2012 21:24

Yay - slippers too?! Grin

Trust me, a hen night is not the way I would choose to spend an evening but sometimes you have to do these things...

I always wear jeans on nights out too. I'd go for what you're comfortable in - especially since you're not going out!

GracieW · 04/04/2012 21:46

Thanks everyone, that sounds great.

Tiara, jewellery, smart top, jeans and heels...and maybe DD's feather boa Grin

WaitingForMe · 04/04/2012 22:18

TBH if you're all wearing tiaras it's hardly real glamour is it? Jeans sound fine.

GracieW · 04/04/2012 22:20

Well, thank God for ebay for cheap accessories Grin

MrsJ what happened at your night

I think its light hearted glamour rather than serious waitingforme

Mrsjay · 04/04/2012 22:21

sorry i boaked because im not a girly girl at all i kinda get a reaction to sparkly blingy things Grin

Mrsjay · 04/04/2012 22:23

but i joined in with the tiara and the bling and even had a boa , was great fun but i did have 1 cocktail to many

GracieW · 04/04/2012 22:33

I thought there was a story there, am a little disappointed it was just because of the bling! Grin

And waiting this is real glamour for some of us who don't dress up Grin

Jeans will be fine. Excellent dressing up gear - as you have handy little pockets for your £££ and don't need a handbag which you could lose hindering your dancing. Grin

Mrsjay · 04/04/2012 22:37

ach sorry to disappoint , TBH my friend was a little older when she got married she never married her sons dad so this was her first time , she wanted a meal which i booked and a pub crawl so had our meal with tiaras on went to the next pub and sat there , was quite civilised Hmm

GracieW · 04/04/2012 22:46

Heh heh at least no-one will see us as it's being held in a house - there is no way I would go out with a feather boa even for a hen night!
