to wash clothes with the nappies?

He thinks I am; I don't - the machine cleans them, surely?! I wash the DSs' clothes (and would be happy to do mine) with them if the nappy load is small enough, pre-wash the nappies and use an extra rinse cycle; he thinks this is gross.
What do you think?

I only have a few (just been converted) and I just bosh it all in together, as all instructions for washable nappies say you can. Its a washing machine. I thought the point was dirty things go in and clean things come out. They're bamboo.

Goodness! This is probably the longest thread I've started...great mix of opinions, thanks. TBH we tend to have full nbappy loads with two little ones in cloth, so it's fairly occasional. And to answer one query above, DH does much of the washing anyway so I don't quibble (he's fab! ).
We wash at 40, very occasionally a strip wash at 60, and are very rarely ill. In fact, I had a stomach bug recently (not the clothes Grin) but neither child caught it. I'll carry on then!
And colour-catchers are amazing - no seperate washes here!
