to sometimes hate what I write on Mumsnet? But to think it also saves my sanity?

I am quick tempered ... with myself. No-one except my parents and possibly my DH (sometimes) would describe me as this. Most would consider me a little bit submissive.

I see red very quickly but manage to cover it VERY well with friends/family/work colleagues etc

The red mist usually decends, then I come on here to see if I'm being unreasonable or not - and then by the time I've read all the replies I have usually calmed down, accepted I'm wrong or sit happy in the knowledge I'm right :)

Therefore, when I'm angry, I'm very honest on here but realise that if anyone I know in RL read my rants that I'd feel really, really bad :(

AIBU coming on here for very honest opinions ... with the possibility of upsetting someone in RL with my 10 minutes of rage?

Just feel it's often better getting advice from you all rather than kicking off in RL and having to apologise or argue my case

By the way - most in RL think I'm so easy going ... pah! So thanks MN for keeping me sane ish Wink

Oh shit.

I will pray. If my knackered old A positive is any use, I'll donate. Been a few years but should do it anyway.

Really hope you get good news very soon and things turn around for him.

The "sad" emoticon doesn't begin to cover this. I truly hope he is ok. I can't begin to imagine what your family must be going through.

Many posters use Mn to vent. I personally don't approve since it is apparent that some posters on the receiving end of a tirade are hurt and bewildered by an unprovoked personal attack. So if you do this then yes Yabu
