I'm watching tv with dd and I've started noticing what I'm perceiving as double entendres and other rudeness in the shows.

The cat in the hat always contains the phrase "flick the jiggermawizzer!"

The octonauts had kwazii claiming he needed to "polish his spyglass"

In the night garden had upsy daisy being covered in mucky stains.

Is it real? Are these shows fitting in naughty stuff for us adults or aibu?

And I've just found out that one of barney the dinosaur's friends is called BJ!

It's like the pantomime isn't it?

I've been every year since I can remember and I can't believe how smutty they are. I was maybe 14 or 15 when I started understanding the ruder jokes, and there are dozens of them in there!

I know isn't a children's show, but I have laughed so much at it

See, our kids always ask me what I'm laughing at when I see an innuendo- and I haven't really grown out of seeing them near everwhere -but when they ask i just tell them I think that the story / whatever is funny and leave it at that. I seem to be getting away with it for now!

My husband swears that Mr Bloom's compostarium is a home brew kit.

oldsilver in the night garden scares the crap out of me! I've only seen a few and that's enough, but I've heard lots of people say it's full of filth!

VS - Love that episode Archie fairly often says rude things that make me snigger used to confuse the hell out of the kids.

Kids' TV shows have been slipping this sort of stuff under the radar for decades LOL!

They do it on purpose to make parents watch too.
