Yeah, not much!

If you look at the Bobbin holder underneath, there is a slit to feed the thread along at the side. The thread has to feed out from the bobbin in the same direction as the slit.

notitswerebritish · 31/03/2012 15:14

Tried. Still no working.

The thing is, a full size machine is quite sturdy. I bought DD one similar and I got so frustrated with it as it was too light, temperamental and harder to use than a normal one.
Did you look at bobbin? Is it the right way round?

If you do give up and send it back, This is a sturdier mini one.
Can you borrow a full size one to practice on? I say this because once you are used to it, £100 will buy an ok machine for light use.

I am irritated for you OP as the tiny machines put people off :(
I hope you get it to work though.

notitswerebritish · 31/03/2012 15:20

That's the one I want. I even ordered one in bubblegum pink but then ran out of stock.

Can you send Hyundai one back to Amazon? I don't want to sound defeatist but honestly, it's not you, one similar drove me mad :(
DD has JLewis one now and it's a proper little starter machine. I think they are in stock.

notitswerebritish · 31/03/2012 15:29

Yeah I can take it back. But £50 quid and she might not use it? Can I justify it to keep for me to take up hems?

MrsKittyFane · 31/03/2012 15:35

I know, I thought same about £50. Look on eBay for John Lewis child's sewing machine - there are a few for sale.

NorksAreMessy · 31/03/2012 15:40

Please post me the thing you want to sew.
I will sew it.
Then throw the silly machine away and go and sit in the garden and look at the daffodils.

ParsleyTheLioness · 31/03/2012 15:55

If it not thread correctly, it will not do it. My overlocking machine threads in a very unstraightforward way, which means I have to keep watching the bleddy dvd. Have you got a manual, or can you download one from t'internet?

notitswerebritish · 31/03/2012 16:10

Looked on web, no more instructions. Grr.
