For example:

Happy 4th birthday ds1

Or

Well done dd on your fabulous report, mummy is very proud

Fair enough if you have a teenager who is actually on facebook but why would you post this crap, god it irritates the hell out of me. I always want to post 'ooh is ds on facebook now hes 4 then?'

On a related note, it does baffle me when people have internet conversations with someone sat right next to them. I wonder why they don't just turn round and speak. It can't be about talking, surely, cos they're right next to each other. So it must be about - showing other people? or something.

Doesn't annoy me because I don't care enough Grin but I do wonder why they do it.

YANBU.
One of my friends posts to her dead cat. As in "missing you so much dear little kitty kins." "Lovely day in sun today, wish you were here my precious kitty kins." "Merry Christmas precious kitty kins, miss you more everyday."
Properly mad I fear. A) it is a cat and B) it is dead.

I also don't like it when people put things like this "baby Lucy is looking forward to munches with aunty Ann later." Firstly because they have used the word 'munchies' and secondly because baby Lucy is four weeks old and not looking forward to anything much.

YASOOOOOONBU.

I'm with you all the way Mosschops. Utter madness to wish your 4 year old a happy birthday on Facebook - unless they can actually read and actually have an account.

I post about my DDs, but would never post to them unless I had a lobotomy Grin.

Yabu - not something I would do myself, but live and let live

GhastlyBespoke · 28/03/2012 21:58

Yanbu - hugely irritating.

However, its not worth offending the person in question by deleting them or commenting so I just to myself and move on.

I have to almost tie my hands behind my back to stop myself typing in a response to some of the daft comments posted. I may have typed a few sarcastic comments but I make myself resist mostly - otherwise I would have no 'friends' left on there... It must be me ! :)
