I cant take it anymore!

No one should get child benefit, only those on 10 p should get it, people on 50k ski every day, I hate benefits, I hate children getting state funded that aren't mine

We don't know anyone finances or outgoings fo sure.

Ultimately most of us just want the best for our children and to provide and sometimes we all feel scared

Enough is enough

We are all trying our best and it's hard for us all

Let's all pull together and support each other and fight to be treated fairly for ourselves and each other

No more divide and conquer

Who is with me?

And lighten up... Bit maudlin this evening. So, will slope off to bed and dream of my free unicorn and rainbows.

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 23/03/2012 23:29

Oh, do stay, Belle - I have the memory of a goldfish but your NN has positive vibes for me Smile

usualsuspect · 23/03/2012 23:30

I've seen worse on MN tbh.

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 23/03/2012 23:32

Of course you can turn in though, Belle - I just meant don't Go go.

And nice thread, OP

Agree, times are hard - let's pull together, not apart Thanks

BelleDameSansMerci · 23/03/2012 23:33

Thank you - I feel like I was attention seeking now Blush

usual really?

BelleDameSansMerci · 23/03/2012 23:34

And, goodnight to you all.

Am pissed and hormonal so excuse the emotional outbursts.

I love you, I do

Starwisher · 24/03/2012 00:08

Hope everyone got their unicorn

No fighting over who deserves the bigger ones more Wink

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 24/03/2012 08:17

Thanks for my unicorn - I've always loved them since reading an Elizabeth Goodge book as a girl. I think there was a bedroom in a tall tower too - all a bit like the Princess in Shrek !

< gallops off into the sunset on trusty unicorn under a rainbow Thanks >

bochead · 24/03/2012 10:13

Hear hear OP!

BelleDameSansMerci · 24/03/2012 10:59

The Little White Horse, Juggling. One of my favourite books... Shame the film was utterly rubbish and lost most of the magic.

MrsWembley · 24/03/2012 14:12

My favourite unicorn was in an awful awful film starring a very young Tom Cruise and Tim Curry doing his most laughable bad guy. Beautiful song in it though, which was it's redeeming feature.

Well, that and the unicorn.

BareBums · 24/03/2012 14:24

Aww a "sparkly, sprinkle the thread with fairy dust" thread...I'm in.

It's why I made the UNpopular thread, just so we could talk about anything and everything in a very casual way.

MyLittleMiracle · 24/03/2012 14:42

Its good for everything not to be so heavy! I feel good, for a change (ignoring the little cry earlier)

Happenstance · 24/03/2012 14:45

I'm with you.

Codandchops · 24/03/2012 14:56

Anyone remember "The Neverending Story"?
The little boy in that kept drawing Unicorns in his schoolbooks.
Lovely film.

And can I for one express massive gratefulness for the Welfare State?
We are SO fortunate to have it and any one of us could need it. I am just starting to use it for the first time and appreciate it. My autistic son's needs are overwhelming at the moment and I am do grateful that we have a welfare state allowing me to stop working for a period of time to concentrate in his needs.

We are fortunate and we need to celebrate the Welfare State.

BelleDameSansMerci · 24/03/2012 19:00

Codandchops, that's so true. I am astounded that so many people can't see how soon "they" can become "us"...

If I lost my job and couldn't get another, I'd be stuffed. Similarly, any bad accident for me or DD would make things very different for us.

Anywaaaay, back to the unicorns.

MrsWembley · 24/03/2012 19:22

Bless 'em all and (without a religious bone in my body but no other phrase does it quite so well) there but for the grace of god go I.

Can we please remind ourselves of the finite nature of everything, including possibly the universe and definitely the funds in the public pot.

Smile
