I'm not sure whether I am being a bit unreasonable - perhaps I am but here we go...
I have quite a few friends who are very keen on taking photos. When we are with them they get everyone to stand together and pose for a photo. Which is fine. But it often doesn't end there. We also have to have several permutations of the group and, now we have DCs, lots of photos of them. It often seems that the photos end up being an interruption of something that we are all enjoying.
I suppose that it has started to bug me because during the photo sessions, DS (6 mo) loses interest and starts to look around. At which point the person taking the photo starts going "DS name, DS name, DS name" to try to get him to carry on looking at the camera. And then I usually say "I think he's getting sick of the camera / the flash / sitting still, shall we stop now". Which I repeat a few times until it does stop. I must admit I have just picked him up and taken him off somewhere a few times but I think this comes across as a bit churlish.
I understand that people like to have photos to remember good times that they have had. But sometimes I think it would be nice if they could just remember without having to bring a camera out at every occasion.
AIBU?
