I love the Hairy Bikers, they make food I'd like to eat and they are funny too. Last nights rendition of Windmills of your mind in Rotterdam was brilliant. Grin

Jamie Oliver's no slim jim lately, despite his bloody preaching.

I don't care what size they are, they are entertaining and seem genuinely nice blokes. If some of the size-ist comments on this thread were aimed towards women there would be outrage.

Given that one of the 'fat ladies' is dead and buried I'm not surprised they're not still on the telly.

Itsjustafleshwound · 21/03/2012 11:57

But at least you know they eat their food. There is nothing worse than watching some former model or stick thin waif trying to convince you that they are keen on food and ingredients are bought in chi-chi little delis down their road ...

I really liked the Two Fat Ladies and have two of their cookery books still.

However, I recently read one of CDW autobiographies - not the early one but some recent account of her year. She sounds so right wing she probably thinks the Daily Mail is on a par with socialist worker.

However, I like the hairy bikers too

Sorry, I wrote that as though it was Clarissa - (my brain was going faster than my fingers) it was her mother, C's grandmother abandoned her with the nuns at a convent school in Australia when she was five.

She sounds like that when she talks about hunting and things, she is very strongly in favour of them, but does argue her case very well, and makes good points about the issues, 5Foot and then when she was a lawyer she often stood up for "little people" against some pretty blantant police corruption in the 70s - she's a very difficult person to pgieonhole, some things you'd think she was very left wing, and others, like you said, make her seem way over on the right. She's just always been her own person I think.
