AIBU to be angry that holiday flight times have changed?

Just picked up tickets for Easter hols flight out has changed from 06:00 to 15:00 and return from 10:50 to 19:50. I was mad because I'd chosen this holiday because times were. perfect.DH due back in work on evening we get back, now will have to arrange more time off and dogs will need another night in kennels. Shop manager said we'd been sent a letter in Nov - never received. Then said that the lady who did our booking is now on Mat leave so nothing to do with the manager in the shop. Seems that once they've had your money customer service goes out of the window.

This happens to my parents all the time, they have an apt abroad, but they are more or less retired so it doesnt really make toooooo much of a difference, but it is very annoying, they tend to get the train to the airport (1 1/2 hrs) and sometimes it means the train doesnt cooincide with the flight anymore, once the airline even changed the airport altogether!
Very annoying and no excuse for bad customer service, not much you can do though unfortunately, i would ring the airline maybe and explain the extra costs you are incurring, worth a try?

Who did you book with?

Last year we had our flight times changed and didn't find out until I picked up the tickets (Thomas Cook). Luckily it was only a couple of hours each way but I had prebooked parking, and had to amend it.

I gave the TC woman a bit of an earful (politely of course) and said how rude it was that no-one had thought to contact me to let me know our flight times had changed. We didn't incur any extra costs but it's crap customer service to not keep us informed of any changes.

All I got in return was an insincere 'sorry'.

It happens lots, something to do with schedules created 'in pencil' if you like, operational stuff at the airport, crew times etc etc. It's certainly not unusual.

Yes we were told that flight times aren't set until 6 months in advance which sounded a bit like BS to me cos we booked in Nov for Mar departure. I've calmed down a bit now, in the big scheme it's not a disaster. Thanks for listening :)
