To ask what is the most bizarre mother's day present you received?

Mine has to be the 'milkshakes' my children made for me today. Using flour and soap (to make it minty and frothy!) My DH (who had given them the flour at their request and who should know better!) downed it in one before asking what had gone in it.

Any other weird and wonderful creations?

I got a home-made card from ds1 saying "Thanks Mummy for driving the car". He gave his Granny a plastic crab in an envelope.

A note from DD1 telling me that I was entitled to swap places today.
She would be the Mum and do all the jobs.
I could be the 'disobedient child'.....

Sky plus from DH when DS1 was @9months but am sure it wasn't really for me with the sports package that came with it!!

I got a stone. Not a colourless sparkly one, which I would have treasured forever, but a stone that was picked up by DS from next to someone's drive and carried all the way home. It has since been knocking around the house and gets placed in Scoop's digger (or whatever you call that bit on the front of a backhoe loader) by DS.

So not even my stone, but Scoop's. I shall have to give it back. Envy

In fairness though, DS is only three and a half. And they did wrap it up very nicely, with a bow on top. Next year I better get my OWN stone (sparkly, 1 carat please)

This is going to sound awfully twee and pfgd so I apologise in advance. But dgd climbed onto the sofa, put her arms around my neck and gave me a proper kiss (she's 14 months old). This occurred three times during my visit and has left me all "awwwwww".

Most bizarre Mother's Day present - this was from ds1 & 2 when little - was a snail called Tommy (apparently) which they brought in from the garden and put on a plate. I wish I'd been a little more enthusiastic.

Ds persuaded dh to buy some kitchen roll with The Muppets on which he proceeded to present to me for Mother's Day.

A hand knitted, baby blue 1 finger warmer, held together with a safety pin. Dd is just learning to knit and decided to give me her first efforts (about inch and a half long).

I got a lovely handmade card from Ds inside which he'd somewhat randomly written:
"To the best Mummy ever - you look nice with make up on" Grin

Last year, I got Paul Gascoigne's autobiography Hmm
