to hate breakfast in bed?

Crumbs in the sheets

In danger of knocking something over and getting OJ all over the bed

Having to prop yourself up on pillows rather than sitting at a table with a chair - things which were specifically designed for eating.

DS is threatening breakfast in bed to wind me up for Mothers' Day. Luckily he won't though, because he's a lazy git.

I hate breakfast in bed too. I always feel fat.

YANBU! For so many of the reasons given above!

However, I am also aware that I should be happy anyone gives a damn enough to make the attempt every once in a while. so. I soldier through it. Grin

No to breakfast in bed. There is no need to eat meals in bed unless maybe in hospital.

Yanbu- I absolutely detest breakfast in bed! Love to make my own tea (noone can EVER make me tea) and my favourite, cold crispy toast-dont undrestand the attraction with warm toast tbh, just doesnt do it for me! I have however suffered it through gritted teeth and a painted -on smile many times when dcs were little and they thought this would be the greatest treat any mother could ask forConfused. Its good they are teenagers now and cant be arsed getting up before middayGrin

I always hated the idea of breakfast in bed until I had ds2. Dh made me breakfast in bed on every day of his paternity leave complete with flowers on the tray and cafietiere of coffee. I would go to bed thinking about breakfast the next day. Grin

YANBU to hate breakfast in bed. As others have described, it's not all it's cracked up to be!
BUT my DDs are still little and they genuinely love and get excited about making me breakfast on Mothers Day morning so I paint a great big smile on my face and shove all the cold, half-buttered toast in my mouth and give them a big hug. Smile

I like breakfast in bed - so long as I am left entirely on my own to enjoy it. Ideally to the very dim and distant sounds of familial fighting wafting up from the kitchen, safe in the knowledge that it is DHs problem.
