to not find george clooney to be a smoldering sex god?

I was watching an interview of a bloke who has had his life made into a film with Matt Damon (the buying a zoo one). He said he had some input into what actor would play him.
Cue the interviewers going "oooh you could have picked George Clooney".
the bloke said "no actually i prefer Matt Damon".
He might as well have said he enjoyed running over puppies. There were audible gasps and one of the interviewers said "oh controversial".
What is the obsession with George? I mean he's attractive and seems to have a good sense of humour. but i find the string of girlfriends young enough to be his daughter a bit weird tbh. and there are a lot of older men that i would gladly jump the bones off ahead of him (jeremy irons, liam neeson, john malkovitch, alan rickman, ......)
Why is he always held up as the most attractive man in the world? am i weird to not fancy him?

Ok Adrian Chiles or Frank Skinner....if you had to chose, which one?

Dont get george obsession either, dont find him attractive at all and ive tried looking at him from all different angles!

Tom C used to be attractive, but over the yrs his once boyish smile seems to have been replaced with a more arrogant forced grin.

Brad pitt, he was scrumptious in "Troy" and "legends of the fall" but since he took up with angelina whatsherface, has just gone to seed! hagard looking, really dirty, he also seems to be covered in face pock marks

Me neither he just looks like any old bank manager to me. In fact I find him unattractive and always have.

I agree, he's a good actor, director etc. and he's handsome and charming but I don't get the obsession. Likewise Tom Cruise, who makes my vagina clam up tighter than a drum (not that he's had physical contact with my vagina I hasten to add). Brad Pitt, looking a bit crumpled these days, I can't imagine life with Angelina is one long chuckle. Oh and Johnny Depp is starting to look seriously creepy these days. Ick. And don't get me started on Robert Pattinson!

On to who I do like, Mark Ruffalo, Hanry Cavill, soft spot for Ryan Gosling, Idris Elba, Fabrizio from The Strokes, Alex Skarsgaard . . . . . and on and on . .

Because Holywood is an incredibly conservative place, petrified of upsetting middle America. Try and think of films where there is a female protagonist and the action doesn't revolve around her love life or kids.

Try and think of the last time you saw a Holywood film with a love scene featuring a black male and a white female, or even an everyday couple with that dynamic.

I have no idea if George Clooney is gay or not, but the bevy of young lovelies he has hanging off his arm does seem a bit try hard. But I think an openly gay man in Hollywood would rightly fear for his career prospects.

Would studio bosses let a gay, male movie actor get play romantic leads or action roles? Probably not.

I did love GC, but after watching the Descendents I just could not look at him in the light. Really bad move GC,

GC is Quite Attractive For An Older Man, but I would kick him out of bed for dropping crumbs. I hope he is gay, because I've told my mum on the basis of mn intelligence! She hasn't been that gutted since she found out about Mark from Westlife.

I like georges facial hair, he reminds me of an old labrador. I said to my dsughter this morning "i dont care if george clooney is offering to put make up on you, you,re not having it" (she is 9. Am going off piste here, sorry)
