hello - OK go easy on me I'm a lurker - I'm still getting my head around the abbreviations!

So I have a problem, I have a person who copies lots of things I do, clothes, shoes, jeans (down to the brand) handbags - hunts down the exact same bag from ebay if it's not in the shops - Hair colour, hair cut, coats.

Moved to be in the same area, gardening wise same plants, trees.

Children wise same wellies, boots, shoes, coats.

House wise, same wallpaper, paint colours etc.

Holidays

It seems like no part of my life isn't copied, actually car, I'm safe with my car!

Its fine and laughable for a while but this has now being going on for about 2 years and I've really had enough, to the point people stopped her to talk thinking it was me from the back.

I'm totally 100% happy with who I am what I stand for how I parent and all aspects of my life I enjoy life to the full, but this is really bothering me, so much so I counted the individual items and it totals 16 exact copies, and many many more similar ones -on a whole I could discount some items as just life and similar tastes, but even with that I think I'm being stalked.

Should I ask them to stop and have it out??? or just ignore get on with life and dye my hair blue??

Wink

just to clarify things, I'm not CeeVeeBee, by the way...

cabbagesoup · 14/03/2012 21:09

OK just to enlighten you further she has no shame in her copying and is fully aware of it - even showed me the jeans "Look I've got a pair too" sort of way, asked me where I got my hair done, I answered before the days of knowing what was going to happen next.. help.

JustHecate · 14/03/2012 21:18

Grin I thought it was funny, ceevee. given the original thread was about someone who is copied in everything they do. Copying their thread was v funny. Grin

JustHecate · 14/03/2012 21:20

cabbagesoup - I suppose you couldn't just laugh at her? Openly.

"Oh, I've got a new pair of shoes, I got them from X, they were £X, you'd better nip down and get yourself a pair, eh, Minime."

Introduce her as your twin.

Tell her that you got your suite from Harrods.

I know it would feel quite embarrassing to do so, but do you think you could bring yourself to ask her straight out why she copies you? If I was you mind, I dont think Id have the courage! I hate making people feel uncomfortable, even if they make me feel that way Confused
Other than that, I love the idea of wearing a short wig then removing it when she copies!! I suppose that would be another way of telling her to "pack it in" haha

ceeveebee · 14/03/2012 21:29

No no please all stop posting on this thread, it was a silly joke, please post on the proper thread here, wish mnhq would hurry up and delete...

Thanks JustHec Grin
