to want to get a jumperoo for my 6mo when we already have an exersaucer?

I feel like the Mother Who Bought Too Much! we have loads of chairs because DS is DC2 and I was worried he would not settle... turned out, he didn't like to be anywhere but asleep in the sling on me...

He is bigger now and seems to be a bit bored in his chairs, but loves his exersaucer. Bonkers to get a jumperoo too? I just think he would love it...

Just had to google both, aren't they the same thing?

titferbrains · 13/03/2012 17:41

no, jumperoo is bouncier, no table

YANBU - DS loved his jumperoo with an unholy passion and I felt teary when he finally got too big for it. Sell the exersaucer if you feel guilty, or sell something else. Get a jumperoo second hand. And then sell it on! I think we only ended up spending about a tenner on it, having made the rest back with a re-sale.

God DS adored his. I can't wait till he's big enough for a trampoline Grin

I find mine invaluable (it was a present, takes up a fair bit of space) and DS is most 10 months. He's bouncing away as I type having previously been rubbing his eyes and getting whiney. As someone else mentioned, sell stuff or buy on eBay.

piprabbit · 13/03/2012 18:12

DS loved his Jumperoo. But they take up an awful lot of floor space. Do you have the room?

Bearcrumble · 13/03/2012 18:44

DS loved his jumperoo. He used to do 'jumperoo legs' even when not in it. Sometimes he would fall asleep in it. I am a bad parent.

MamaMary · 13/03/2012 19:13

FWIW, my DD couldn't use the jumperoo much after about 8 or 9 months. She grew too tall for it.

titferbrains · 13/03/2012 19:16

yes we have the floor space and no danger of him getting too tall, DH and I are a bit vertically challenged Grin

yes, my DS grew too tall for his by about 9 months too - but oh, those 4-9 months were some of the happiest in his first year! He used to wail when we took him out of it, it was crazy :)

beacrumble DS didn't fall asleep in his because that would have involved STOPPING JUMPING and why would anyone do that? But yes, he spent aages in it. Happy little jumping frog, he was aww I'm getting nostalgic Grin

LovesBeingWearingSkinnyJeans · 13/03/2012 19:37

Get it, dd and ds have both loved theirs. Ds even fell asleep in it.

BambinoBoo · 13/03/2012 19:38

Jumperoos are ace.

Whiteybaby · 13/03/2012 20:31

I have one I am about to sell if you would be interested?? Am located Herts / Cambs area!

Firawla · 13/03/2012 20:33

if you have floor space then why not, you can sell them again for good money after so you make almost the price back again. mine loves his jumperoo!

pregnantpause · 13/03/2012 20:37

If your in south Wales your welcome to mine. It lingers in my loft making me broody. My dds both adored it.

titferbrains · 13/03/2012 22:15

I'm in London, but actually my DM is in Wales, wonder if I could buy yrs off you to keep at Grandma's?? Could I collect from... Newport? We are planning to visit her quite soon and I'll try not to grumble on the way about how long it takes to get there
