The first time I saw the opening sequence of her tv programme DH actually thought he'd walked in on me watching some kind of porno. I'm not sure who was more surprised.

Nigel is a tad creepy but has wonderful, easy recipes. He also writes beautifully. If you haven't read his autobiography "toast - the story of a boy's hunger" then you absolutely MUST. It's wonderful.

I walk past Nigel Slaters house most days and I am seriously envious of it . That said , the gardens really ain't that big , the camera just makes it look like it . Do love his recipes though, him and Nigella are the ones I always turn to first for inspiration.
