To want someone from Royal Mail hung drawn and quartered.

My dog is seriously ill and the vet advised a special blood test that can only be analysed at a laboratory in Cambridge. The result could mean life or death for him and treatment can only be started when the results are in. She took a blood speciment yesterday and sent it Special Delivery guaranteed next day delivery. Guess what ? it hasn't turned up! If it turns up tomorrow this is too late and the blood will have to be taken and sent again. Hung drtawn and quartered? possibly, but alternatively I'd like them to have to spend another day with my poor scrawney squittery dog to appreciate the repercussions when they are so incompetent.

YABU - if it's "life or death" you should know better than to send it by Royal Fail Wink

Anyone? You can't do it to my mate who is a postie but there is another postman living round here that the world wouldn't miss. Shall I send him round?

Sorry to hear about your poor dog though.

TeWihara · 06/03/2012 16:58

How frustrating!

I'm sorry about your dog and I would be livid too. Possibly not murderous. But definately very angry letter.

I hope it arrives in time.

Sidge · 06/03/2012 16:58

Why on earth would someone send an urgent blood sample by Royal Mail, special delivery or not?

Surely you'd use a courier service?

Hope your doggy is better soon.

pootlepootle · 06/03/2012 17:10

but then when you send something via a courier, everyone gets angry with you for using such a rubbish courier as parcelfarce, dh-hell and so on and so forth.

i've come to the conclusion that i shouldn't try sending anything anywhere anymore as all the bastards let you down and the person at the other end blames you for not choosing the right sending method.

higgle · 06/03/2012 18:53

The vet sent the specimen, in person, they do it often, they don't go missing, except this time. She telephoned me a few minutes ago to tell me she has given numerous people such a hard time they have probably given up the will to live.

I'm sure you're not allowed to send body fluids via Royal Mail - Imagine the poor postman if it broke having blood all over him Shock

Hope you dog gets better soon Smile
