DD went to a friends for a sleepover last week and ended up with a black eye (accidental, getting over excited and acting daft etc). Anyway saw parent after school today and they lightheartedly said they were sorry about returning DD broken etc. Me being the witty comedian that I am not said 'don't worry about it, we'll get you back next time, hahahaha' then got in the car thinking wtf did I say that for??!!! They probably now think I am some crazed mother on the revenge path for DD, I really should remind myself daily not to try to be funny, it always sounds better in my strange mind
